Borgonato
In the heart of the renowned Franciacorta wine region lies the municipality of Corte Franca, which encompasses the characteristic hamlets of Borgonato, Colombaro, Nigoline, and Timoline. Borgonato, situated in the centre of the Franciacorta moraine amphitheatre, rises from a rocky hill. The hamlet, gathered around the parish church of San Vitale, retains an enchanting atmosphere. It is renowned for being the home of the Berlucchi winery, a leader in the production of Franciacorta sparkling wines.
Colombaro
A short distance from Borgonato is Colombaro, overlooking the slopes of the picturesque Monte Alto, offering a breathtaking spectacle of the Franciacorta region. Today, Colombaro is known for its numerous wineries and restaurants, where you can savour the typical food and wine delicacies of Franciacorta.
Iseo
Iseo is an enchanting village in Franciacorta, situated on the charming shores of Lake Iseo. The picturesque cobbled streets of its medieval historic centre lead to the lively Piazza Garibaldi. A visit to the wonderful 11th-century parish church of Sant'Andrea and the evocative Oldofredi Castle is unmissable.
Erbusco
Erbusco, a small jewel of Franciacorta, boasts the magnificent Villa Lechi, a splendid 18th-century aristocratic residence in the Rococo style. Among other treasures, the renowned Ca’ del Bosco and Bellavista wineries stand out, two of the most prestigious in Franciacorta.
Rodengo Saiano
Located in the heart of the renowned Franciacorta wine region, Rodengo Saiano is dominated by a predominantly hilly landscape with extensive vineyards. Its main attraction is the Olivetan Abbey of San Nicola, founded in the 10th century, today one of the wealthiest monasteries in northern Italy.
Borgo del Maglio of Ome
Hidden in the green slopes of Mount Delma lies the ancient Village of the Forge, a precious site along the Iron and Mining Route. This fascinating complex houses the Averoldi Forge and the Pietro Malossi House Museum, open to the public for an immersion into local history.
